Basic route: The first stretch of the trip coincides with the final stretch of the tour “The Siná a Bôr Mts.” in the opposite direction. Ascend from the parking lot in front of the Grand hotel in Jasná (1 102 m) up the valley of Zadná voda as far as the Sedlo Poľana saddle (1 837 m). You will find yourself on the main ridge of the Nízke Tatry Nts, -continue turning left on the path heading to the east, following the red hiking mark (E8, 0801). Moderate ascent leads to the Dereše Mt. (2 003 m) and continues over the shallow saddle to theChopok Mt. (2 024 m). The path avoids the Dereše Mt. The detour to the top is worth the toil if you want to have a nice view of the environs. The Kamenná chata cottage at Chopok offers refreshment and the possibility to climb to the taller eastern top of the Chopok Mt. Chair lifts on both sides of the Chopok Mt. are out of order so you should better continue on the ridge trail. The path descends to the Demänovské sedlo saddle (1 756 m). You will reach the important crossroads of hiking paths at Krúpové sedlo saddle (1 922 m) from the distinct depression between the couple of the best known tops of the Nízke Tatry Mts., the Chopok and Ďumbier Mts. There is a short detour to the top  of the Ďumbier (2 043 m). Descend north-westward on the green-marked trail (5426). The path winds down the steep head of the Široká dolina valley (1 390 m) descending to the crossroads in the Široká dolina valley (1 390 m) and joins the route of the trip “Instructive path of the Demänovská dolina valley”. Walking down the valley you will soon reach  the cottage at Lúčky. (925 m).
Options: Option A abandos the basic route at the Chopok Mt. by descent following the blue mark over Luková to Jasná (total 6 hours).
Option B is partial shortening  of the basic route. It leaves out the short ascent to the Krúpova hoľa Mt. (total 7 ¼ hours) making use of the yellow-marked shortcut from the ridge of the Nízke Tatry Mts. The basic route can be also walked in opposite direction (8 ¾ hours).
